Dr William Baird BVSc (Hons) Qld MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
William has a wealth of experience and has been with the clinic
since 1995. He is a 1979 honours graduate from the University of Queensland and holds a certificate in Canine Sports Medicine from UCD Ireland.
He has previously practiced in South Australia, Sydney, and the United Kingdom, in both small and large animal practice.
He is a competent surgeon who performs surgery for fracture repair, Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) for cruciate ligament rupture, as well as other orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries.
Dr Santina Park B.V.Sc. (Massey Uni)
Veterinary Surgeon
Santina graduated from Massey University with Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2017. She started working for Great South Vets straight away. She has special interest in Surgery, but also working hard on medicine aspect of the veterinary field.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing basketball, and cooking spicy food.
She doesn’t own any pets at the moment, but would love to have more than 3 cats and more than 5 dogs (and maybe some turkeys and geese too!).

Shesta Raju
Head Nurse
Born and raised in Fiji, she moved to New Zealand after finishing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree from Fiji National University (FNU) in 2022.
In New Zealand, she has been working towards becoming a registered veterinarian. Shesta started her career at Great South Vets in 2023. She is very passionate about animal welfare and uses these skills in the clinic.
Among other duties, her role at the clinic is performing nurse vaccinations for clients who do not want to wait in the queue for the vet.
Outside of work she loves travelling and exploring new places.
Jotishna Devi
Nurse/Administration
Jotishna graduated, in 2022 from Fiji National University (FNU), with a Bachelor degree in Veterinary science and Animal Husbandry. She moved to New Zealand in 2023 and joined our team at Great South Vets. She is from Fiji and is working towards her registration here to practice as a vet. In her personal time away from work, she loves to go on adventures, travel to new destinations, eat yummy food and sleep (that's right). She loves animals especially cats, dogs and birds and would love to have some of her own in the near future.
