× Join our Charity Challenge Team and help raise funds for the Community Cat Coalition Inc. ×

Great South Vets, and the Community Cat Coalition Inc., invite all runners, joggers, walkers, crawlers, and lounge lizards, to join our Charity Team by jogging with us in the Ports of Auckland - Round the Bays - 8.4 km - Fun Run, at 9:00am on Sunday (to be announced). (0 days to go)

How will we raise funds?
If we can get at least 20 people to join our team, and walk, jog, or run with us over the 8.4 km journey, Great South Vets will donate $1,000.00 for each of the first 10 people to pass over the finish line. So there is a potential for a donation of up to $10,000.00 to the Community Cat Coalition Inc from Great South Vets.

How can you join our team?
Go to the Round the Bays website ( HERE ) and register by clicking the ENTER NOW button, then choose the Event Entry or Family Pass option, then in the Team Selection window you will see three buttons titled, Join a Team, Create a Team, and Skip Teams, click the Join a Team button, and type the words GSV Charity Team (our team name), then click the Search button. Our team name will appear with a Join this Team button, click this button, then follow the instructions to complete your registration. The fee is $40. When filling in your details, select Joggers (Red Group 50-80mins) in the Start Group input. We will pick up your bib for you, and give it to you at 9:00 am race day, before the start time of 9:30 am. For run details see Round the Bays FAQS. Anyone, from snails to Olympic champions, can join our team.

Where to go on the day?
Everyone who has entered our team are to meet no later than 9:00 am in the Joggers (Red bibs) start area on Quay St between Tapora St and Tangihua St. We will distribute the race bibs to all team members at that time. You can race, run, jog, or walk, but most of all have fun. You have until 12:15 pm to finish. Thats 2¾ hours. About 1 km every 20 minutes (a leisurely walk).

Where to go after the event?
When you go under the finish arch, pick up your Finishers Medal and a team member will greet you, and show you how to get to Madills Farm, which is just a short 10 minute walk from the finish area, where we will be celebrating our run with a Sizzling Summer BBQ.

× CHANGES TO OUR OPENING HOURS ×
The governments restrictive border control policies has resulted in a chronic shortage of veterinarians in New Zealand. We normally have 12 veterinarians, but are now down to 3. As a consequence we have had periods when there are no veterinarians in attendance. This has forced us to review our opening hours. Instead of remaining open until 8 pm on weekdays, we will close at 5 pm, and stop booking consultations at 4:00 pm. And instead of opening on Saturday and Sunday, we will be closed on both days. We will also be taking a one hour lunch break between 12pm and 1pm, when there will be no veterinarians consulting.
NEW OPENING HOURS
Monday to Friday
Doors open 7.30 am. Doors close 5 pm.
Consultations: 8 am to 12 pm & 1 pm to 5pm.
There will be a lunch break between 12 pm & 1 pm where no vets will be consulting.
We will not book consultations after 4:00 pm.
Saturday & Sunday - Closed.
Public Holidays - Closed on both the actual and observed days.
To summarise. If you come with your pet, from Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, a consultation will be booked for you. The Vets will start consulting at 8 am. They will take a lunch break between 12 pm and 1 pm, then resume consulting between 1 pm and 5 pm. Please Note, we will not book you for a consultation if you turn up after 4:00 pm. If you come in on a Saturday, Sunday, Public Holiday, or after 5 pm, you will find us closed.
× Thank you. ×
